Pretty Beach House has been realised through the considered resurrection of a residence destroyed by devastating bushfires in 2005. Named for its location, the reinstated built environment draws on the emotive connections the client nurtures from childhood holidays spent immersed in the native environment of the site, alongside the establishment of innovative design driven by artisanal qualities.

The multi award-winning luxury resort that has emerged is comprised of four standalone pavilions which amplify sustainability and collaboration with local artisans and craftsmen. Integrated within the surrounding natural landscape, the resort reflects the materials and palette of the native bushland surroundings elevating them to a place of transportive luxury — sandstone, mud brick, natural linens, leather, patinated brass and rough edged timber.

Windows frame striking views acting as artworks in themselves and inviting navigation between interior and exterior. The resounding beauty found in imperfection is heralded through the incorporation of bespoke furniture and the amplification of the mark of the maker which gently aligns with the bushland environment and resonant ambience singular to Pretty Beach House.

A halo of light above the lounge in the main pavilion radiates from a breathtaking crystal chandelier by renowned lighting designer Christopher Boots. The crowning glory of the space, the piece is testament to the myriad handmade pieces that distinguish Pretty Beach House and cement it into the memories of those who spend time here.
