Set on a hill-top, with superb 360-degree views across the Australian bushland, this five-bedroom residence feels more like a grand, classic estate. Harnessing nostalgia through pitched roof forms and the use of natural materials which seamlessly continue the dialogue of the surrounding landscape, this stately country home has been highly considered to balance both sophistication and sustainability. Found objects and hunted treasures bring intrigue and joy to a home that Michelle Leslie Studio has crafted into an ideal entertainment hub for family and friends.
Lightening up the palette to create an open, bright space, The Farm is steeped in classical order, gently elevated by Michelle Leslie Studio’s signature vision which incorporates the mark of the maker. Aged brass, leather and reclaimed timber inform comfort and a robust elegance. The mantlepiece has been formed from a recycled post which once rested in Sydney Harbour, while a railway sleeper has been cleverly repurposed into a daybed. These bespoke notes and use of materials with their own narrative imbue the residence with a proud layer of Australian history.
Custom upholstery, native Australian landscaping, every detail — inside and out — continues the conversation between old and new.
